Mechanical Systems Designed for Future Growth

The East Texas Medical Center Healthcare System Pittsburg Hospital consists of a 99,000 SF single story structure.

This is a replacement hospital for an existing community facility located within the city limits of Pittsburg. In order to serve the community in the future the new hospital is designed both mechanically and in structural characteristics to support a second floor. The present foot print will facilitate twenty-five private patient rooms. Expansion capabilities will double this capacity. The hospital facility offers two operating suites and a magnetic resonance imaging suite.

Systems Installed

Ivey Mechanical worked closely with the ETMC staff in early purchasing stages to accommodate their HVAC and plumbing needs, which included two McQuay “friction-less” magnetic bearing hermetic centrifugal chillers.
