Mechanical Systems for Tier III/IV Data Center

Ivey Mechanical provided the HVAC and plumbing systems for C Spire’s Tier III/IV data center in Starkville, MS. It is the 52nd of its class and sophistication in the world. This cloud facility is a full-service disaster contingency facility ranked only below first responders and hospitals for fuel distribution for powering facility generators.

The cooling system features eight Liebert cooling units, external condensing units protected within 16-foot concrete walls, and the facility is cooled with free air during cooler weather (green technology).

Data Security is prioritized by creating separate security zones requiring bio-metric access (e.g. HVAC maintenance workers do not penetrate white space).
