Systems for Major Medical Facility Addition

This Medical Center is a major addition to the Sumner Regional Medical System in Gallatin, TN. This project consists of a new 224,000 square foot patient tower and powerhouse along with 26,000 square feet of renovation work in the existing facility.

Systems Installed

• (2) 700 Ton chillers and primary-secondary pumping systems
• Two cell cooling tower
• (2) 250 Hp steam boilers
• Heat exchangers and hot water pumps
• Medical vacuum pump
• Medical air compressor
• Nitrogen and nitrous oxide manifolds
• Domestic water booster pump
• Water softeners

The patient tower consisted of a new emergency department and radiology department on the first floor, a second floor for administration, a third floor with six operating rooms, and recovery area, fourth floor consisting of critical care rooms and three upper floors of patient rooms. Ivey Mechanical installed 200 prefab plumbing chases on this project.
