Ivey Mechanical Holds 70th Anniversary Company Retreat
Seventy Years of Success in the Mechanical Contracting Industry
A lot has changed in 70 years. Ivey Mechanical has grown from a small repair shop in Kosciusko, Mississippi into the large mechanical contractor we are today. It has been a journey and a great one at that; one we hope to continue for another 70 years. We owe all of our success to our faithful leaders, dedicated employees, and our loyal customers.
Training, Fellowship, and Fun in Florence, Alabama
Ivey Mechanical kicked off the 70th year celebration in Florence, Alabama on April 18. Over 200 employees, vendors, and subcontractors were in attendance for the four-day retreat, which consisted of over 30 training sessions ranging from Risk Management, Communicating with Different Generations, Safety Mentoring, Root Cause Analysis, Proposals and Interviews, and more. Participants also enjoyed playing golf, karaoke, good food, and great company.
We owe all of our success to our faithful leaders, dedicated employees, and our loyal customers.
“I can truly say there is a new, ‘revived’ energy throughout the company. There is more of a sense of loyalty, excitement, and rejuvenation,” President of Ivey Mechanical Denny Terrell explained. “These meetings help mold the Ivey culture — not just through the formalized training, but by just getting together as one group, sharing war stories and fellowship. Often times it can feel like you get stranded on an island in our line of work, so it really helps morale to get everyone together sharing those stories as the ‘Ivey’ family.”
