All of our employees understand their responsibilities. Our safety commitment goes beyond Monday morning safety meetings. Continuous safety training, yearly updates, and enforcement are key ingredients to our program. At Ivey, we don’t just talk a good game. We actually live it every day.
Training
We believe training is key to our ability to provide quality service to our customers. As a result, each year we invest significant resources in both in-house and third party training programs that not only teach basic skills but also provide continual updates on the latest technologies in our industry.
Our in-house program includes regular local and corporate classroom instruction as well as on the job oversight to ensure complete skill development.
Third party trainers in the form of industry manufacturers, expert consultants, and specialty schools are utilized to target specific needs identified by individual technicians as part of our career development process.
Co-worker training is an investment in our future. Training improves overall job satisfaction and drives the success of our people. Training at Ivey involves many formats and venues from internal classes to on-the-job mentoring, to external courses in a classroom environment. In addition, many of our suppliers and vendors contribute their expertise to the training process through informative sessions on new products and services. Training is a key element to our company’s success and the success of our employees.
Manager Training
Most of our manager training is currently conducted at the Duncan Gray Center near Canton, MS. The Center hosts approximately 300 of our managers each year.
